Prayer of Salvation

Prayer of Recommitment

You are being changed into the image of the Lord!

As you continue to follow after Christ by the aid and leading of the Holy Spirit, you are being changed. You are being changed into His image. You are being changed into His likeness, His character, His reflection.

People who believe they can accept salvation and than remain the same as they have always been are deceived or at least ignorant of God’s plan and purpose for their life. They are in the dark about the kingdom of God and the ways of the kingdom or the purpose of the kingdom.

3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
2 Cor 3:18-4:2 KJV

I praise God that His mercy is toward us. And I thank God that it is Christ’s live, death and resurrection which paid for and paved the way for our salvation. But, the point at which we accept this sacrifice is only the beginning of a journey toward God and in His Spirit.

The very name of the game in salvations is change. The Bible says that we are not to be conformed to this word, but transformed by the renewing of the mind. This should alert us to the necessity of continuing to grow in grace and into the fullness of His glory.

Because we, who have accepted Jesus as savior and Lord know that something must change in us to be able to glorify His name in our lives. We know that His work must continue if we are to taste of His goodness on earth. We have become aware of those things which will never agree with God.

And, we have come to realize that to change we are going to have to continually die to the way things were. We are going to have to die to self rule, self defense, self ambition and self dependency.  We are going to have to die to attempting independence from God. We can not have our way and still glorify Him by following His way, His will, His Word.

So, because we want to glorify Him who saved us, we offer ourselves upon the altar. Since, we want to see His kingdom established in our lives, we choose to be servants of the Most High. For the Bible says that is a way which seems right to man, but the end thereof is destruction.

To be changed into His image, we must change our ways. To experience His glory and be transformed form glory unto glory, we must continue to cooperate with the Holy Spirit. We must be willing to pay the price of obedience and pick up our cross. We can not glorify Him without change. But, praise be to God, you are being changed into His very likeness.
